I recently purchased a 1-ounce bar of .999 pure silver bar, 1 oz, 999 bars of pure copper maple leaf.
Hi all I just wanted know, I just bought two bars of metal as an investment, do you think made the right decision? I bought a bar of pure silver, 999 of Buffalo $ 12.51 (if you include shipping) and in 2009, 999 Copper Maple Leaf Bar ticket for £ 7.16 (including postage). Both bars are 1 ounce. Do you think it took the right decision? And what are the prices of silver and copper at the time, if anyone knows? Thank you very much.
The troy ounce of silver in the 4 spot market August. A £ = 8.64 troy ounce spot copper price = £ 0.11 If you bought this as a bet on the price of silver or copper, may not be good investments. They may have some value for collectors, but based on metal content and the current price, there are better ways to make investments in metals. Sorry for the bad news.
