sb5120 cable modem
My internet is disconnected !!!!? help someone
IM using Rogers cable and always fucked up, I have a Motorola SB5120 cable modem. I days when my internet is perfect, but sometimes goes a little crazy. My internet is disconnected and reconnected as 3-5 hours later. Can anyone say that my problem or should I call Rogers. Thanks for any help.
Before calling Rogers to do a test to make sure your PC is not. Ping modem. If you can test the modem when the network has been reduced and get an answer then your PC is in talks with the modem and the problem is the modem or the line or something at Rogers. To ping the modem that you need to know your IP address. Click Start> Run and type cmd and click OK. In the DOS window type ipconfig / all IP address of the gateway is the modem. Type ping IP address and as something to ping 192.168.0.1 and see what there is. If this works OK, then call Rogers. Account
